Report of 20th IRIST Congress - Groningen
The content of the 20th IRIST meeting was of high scientific value and covered very interesting topics ranging from research to clinical fields. The meeting was focused on multidisciplinary topics, which included radiology, nuclear medicine, rheumatology, surgery and other disciplines. Speakers were well-known specialists of their fields, and presented their recent data on ongoing research and patient studies with very interesting round table discussions with participants. All the poster presented were very interesting, in particular some posters showed very recent development of nuclear medicine instrumentations.
The meeting was well organized and systematically arranged, with very nice entertaining events such as inauguration cocktail with a pleasant concert by young talents from Groningen and a delicious social dinner. Moreover, it was a great occasion to meet experts of different fields and discuss about research problems and data. Finally, we want to congratulate organizers and the scientific committee for organizing such an interesting event.

The 16th meeting of IRIST was organized in 2003 in Capri (Italy) from May 8 to May 10. More than 170 members were attending and proceedings will be published in Cancer Biotherapy & Radiopharmaceuticals. During our congresses both the basic aspects (cell biology, tumor physiology, radiochemistry, apoptosis, dosimetry, peptide synthesis) as well as applied science of radionuclide targeting of tumors (preclinical and clinical studies) are presented and discussed
